How SWITCH fees are enforced.
SWITCH does not deploy custom Solana programs. Every pool is created with the audited Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve program, and graduates into a Meteora DAMM v2 pool. Fee rules are parameters of those programs, set in the same transaction that creates the pool.
What cannot change after launch
- The trading fee schedule, including decay steps, graduation fee and market cap levels.
- The dynamic fee settings and its cap of 20% above the base fee.
- The split of each fee: Meteora protocol 20%, then the creator share and the SWITCH partner share of the rest.
- The bonding curve, from about 28 SOL to 420 SOL market cap, and permanently locked liquidity after graduation.
- Token metadata. Tokens use the immutable authority option and no freeze authority.
After a launch confirms, the SWITCH server reads the pool and its config back from chain and compares them to what the creator reviewed. A token is only listed if they match.
Model by model
Decay uses the DBC fee scheduler. The fee drops in fixed steps over a fixed time, linear or exponential, down to a floor of at least 0.25%.
Milestone uses two onchain mechanisms: the switch from the curve fee to the graduated pool fee at migration, which happens once and cannot reverse, and the DAMM v2 market cap fee scheduler, which lowers the fee as the pool price rises through levels. Those levels follow the live price, so if the price falls back, the fee for that level applies again. After the expiry set at launch, the final fee applies permanently. The programs measure market cap from price, not liquidity, so that is what milestones use.
Volume uses the DBC dynamic fee. A volatility accumulator rises when trades move the price quickly and decays over time. The added fee can never exceed 20% of the base fee. Rolling volume is displayed for context; the onchain surcharge responds to volatility created by trading, which is harder to fake cheaply with wash trades because every trade pays the fee.
Loyalty sets a fixed fee and routes the holder share to the SWITCH partner fee claimer. This part is operator settled: the SWITCH server snapshots balances, credits time weighted balance only to wallets above the minimum that have held for the minimum time, resets the clock on any decrease, and closes epochs on a fixed schedule. Holders claim by signing a one time message; each allocation can be paid once, enforced by database constraints and an atomic status change. The fee itself is still enforced onchain; the payout process depends on SWITCH operating honestly, and every payout is a public Solana transfer.
Who gets paid
- Meteora protocol: 20% of every trading fee.
- Creator: 80% of the remainder on Decay, Milestone and Volume tokens. Loyalty creators choose a holder share that comes out of their part.
- SWITCH: 20% of the remainder. No launch fee.
- After graduation, trading fees in the DAMM v2 pool go to the locked liquidity positions, half creator and half SWITCH.
Custody
SWITCH never asks for a seed phrase and never holds user keys. Launch, trade and creator claim transactions are built on the server and signed in your wallet. The only server key is the partner wallet that receives the SWITCH fee share and pays loyalty rewards.
